Women in Playwriting Trilogy Series

In support and celebration of women in the arts, the Shoreline Theater Academy is producing 3 original one act plays by 3 playwrights at different stages of their lives from middle aged to single and twenty something to high school student.  Each play brings audience members into the cultural trends, social and political issues that each generation currently feels most touches their lives and as such the entire series offers a wide lens into our differences and our similarities as women in today’s ever changing political and social climate. This special fundraising event series supports the ongoing efforts to preserve and restore a local gem, the 1801 historic Academy Building that graces the First Church of Christs green in the downtown historic arts district of Clinton, Ct. Performances run approximately 75 minutes with talk back following with the playwright and cast members. Included in the ticket purchase are a deliciously tasty treat & refreshment to fit the mood of each play.  Support both women in the arts and the preservation of historic Clinton at the same time for this delightful trilogy series.  Support for this project is made possible by a generous grant from the State of CT, CT Humanities Cultural Fund.
