By Ernesto Neri, Painted Steel and Wood

Location: Liberty Bank Garden, corner of E. Main and Commerce Streets

Ernesto Neri is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University and has been working with metals for many years. He formerly owned the “Copper Potter,” a metal sculpting workshop in Bethel, CT.  There he made unique copper sculptures, birdbaths and baptismal fonts. He enjoys creating humorous representational works as well as the abstract. He has created and sold jewelry and clay works that resemble ancient artifacts. He at one point created the “Havoc Maker” hot sauce company that used his handmade clay bottles resembling ancient amphorae. His work can be found in the Madison Sculpture Shore exhibit.
