All stone sculptures in the garden were created by Eileen O’Donnell

Eileen O’Donnell has been enjoying art for many years. She is an accomplished stained glass artist who currently teaches at the Guilford Art Center. Ms. O’Donnell has always had a love of sculpture. Starting out sculpting in clay, she discovered that casting a clay piece into a finished bronze sculpture was a very involved and expensive process. One day she noticed the stone sculpture class at the Guilford Art Center and that was it. As she says, “When you are done sculpting in stone, you are finished.” She also enjoys that she works both in glass and in the stone that can break it.
